PARIS FALL - WINTER 2011

The fashion show of Christian Dior was one of those expected by the press and buyers. With the problems of the last weeks (the dismissal of John Gallino) looked like a funeral, maybe the departure of one of the great designers of our time (Galliano). Karlie Kloss opened the show wearing a long coat, big hat, high leather boots to the knee, a whole focused on the bohemian style (Model make-up like baby dolls). Important pieces in the collection: long dresses, short dresses, leather boots and handbags. The end of the fashion show was a nostalgic moment in which all the craftsmen and seamstresses to Christian Dior, came out to greet the public (with tears in their eyes). At the end was heard to say "the king is gone."

Isabel Marant (His American style) in her collection was  inspired by the American tribes, the models wore jeans, coats and jackets of large size, and wedge-heel boots. (Very natural make-up and hair style).
Alber Elbaz takes us on a journey. His collection for Lanvin was focused on volume, silhouette refined and exploration into new types of fabrics. (Elegant, sophisticated and sexy define this show). Pedro Lourenço explores simple silhouettes, fur, and a monochromatic palette. (Inspired by the latest collections from Balenciaga?)

Enjoy!

Oh Baby, just hold this lonely fan and hear him say
Don't let me turn to sand and blow away
Though this crowded desert called Paris
Sans doute la seule femme qui pouvait dire
"Paname"

I feel love, Paris Paris
Love to love, Paris Paris

Feelings so close to my heart...
